About your Tutor…

I am a native of Monaghan, Ireland where I managed my family photography store for many years. Through that store and independently I’ve been teaching Digital Photography for 10 years.  I feel that my experience dealing with customers on a daily basis has given me a unique insight into what people really want to learn about digital photography and I have earned the reputation of being able to relate this information in an easy to understand manner.

I began Beginners Photography Blog in 2009 because I felt that there was a need for a place for people who are just new to the world of photography without being inundated with jargon and technical information.  Some of the photography forums out the are awesome if you know what they’re talking about, but if you simply need to know the basics they can be a little overwhelming. In this blog my goal is to deliver you the basics that I teach to my students in person everyday in the same easy to understand way!

I started my  business CameraShy, in 2007, where I bring my teaching into your home in a relaxed and friendly manner. My classes are fun, informative and perfect for anyone who just wants to know how to get the most out of their camera!

Rates 2009/2010

Group classes – $150 per person. (Minimum of 5, Maximum 9) + $80 for Host

One to One Tuition         $40 per hour (minimum of 2 hrs)

Two People                        $35 per person
